Retrieve MMS Replies - No Messages

I'm running some tests on the Retrieve MMS Replies endpoint and making a GET call to:

https://tapi.telstra.com/v2/messages/mms

I've sent about a dozen MMS messages to my Telstra number but so far have only managed to retrieve 1 message. Every other request comes back:

{
  "status": "EMPTY"
}​

My subscription does not have a notifyURL set (the messages were coming in very quickly when I test with the notifyURL set). Any reason why I can't GET my incoming MMS Messages?

Hi Andrew,

Could you please share the messageIds please?  We will check the status of the message and let you know.

Also, I have seen that when you dont have notifyURL,  you can retrieve messages only once and subsequent attempt to retrieve same messageId return empty response.

Hi Vinodh,

I'm polling for any new MMS replies/incoming sent from handsets so I don't know what their message IDs will be yet until I have download them, but I'm having trouble downloading them.

I've just sent 3 MMS messages to my Telstra number from 2 different mobile phones and have been checking for them (according to the docs I should get them 1 at a time) by doing a GET to:

https://tapi.telstra.com/v2/messages/mms

and so far have only been able to retrieve 1 incoming MMS. I either get the:

  "status": "EMPTY"
}

 

response and have also seen this response:

              {
                "status":"404",
                "code":"RESOURCE-NOT-FOUND",
                "message":"Invalid resource. Refer to API docs at https://dev.telstra.com"
              }

 

Have only been able to download 2 MMS messages in the past few days but have sent over a dozen so far in my tests.

I am able to reproduce this issue. I have assigned this issue to our L2 support team to investigate.  I shall provide an update as soon as we have an outcome.

Hi Andrew,

 

There was an issue in handling ~1MB inbound MMS which is the reason you could not retrieve MMS. 

I have been advised that a fix has been deployed to fix this issue.  Could you please try sending an inbound MMS to your virtual number and let us know.
